Parlade meanwhile appreciated Angel’s effort to meet with him mentioning also the actress’s contribution to the AFP and her advocacy to help the poor and the helpless.
“For his part, Lt. General Parlade conveyed to Ms. Locsin his appreciation for her contribution to the AFP and her continuing advocacy to help the poor, impoverished, and the helpless.”
Angel has been subjected to vicious attacks by the government trolls following Parlade’s successive tirades against Angel and members of her family in the past few weeks.
In her latest social media exchange, Angel schooled netizens bashing her and accusing her of having ties with the communists even discounting all her humanitarian efforts.
The interaction was precipitated by Angel’s post about the recent back-to-back typhoons that hit the country.
“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #Rolly & #Ulysses. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure,” Angel wrote.
“Our resilience will always be greater than any calamity! Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safe mga kababayan ko,” she added.
A netizen however didn’t let that post pass without criticizing Angel alluding to her ties to the NPA which recruits youth to be their members
“Kawawa din yung mga kabataan nasa bundok na narecruit ng npa,” the netizen wrote.
Angel meanwhile responded by saying it will always be shameful to use children or youth for personal selfish propaganda.
“Oo kawawa talaga na naiipit ang kabataan. Anyone na ginagamit ang kabataan para sa sariling agenda ay kasuklamsuklam,” she said.
The Kapamilya actress also slammed the netizen for using the youth as a subject to bash her and push for personal agenda.
“Kahit ikaw sa propaganda mo ginagamit mo ang kabataan.
“Ginagamit mo rin ako at mga kapwa ko artista sa agenda mo that’s why nakabantay ka sa page ko para mag comment,
