In the interview for their Prima Donnas fresh episode return, stars Aiko Melendez, Wendell Ramos, and Katrina Halili revealed how the pandemic affected their jobs, personal lives.
Aiko said that her kids are busy with online classes but still miss her when she’s off to work.
“Kasi yung morning nila busy sila sa school, so sa gabi nila ako talaga namimiss. Dun talaga yung pahirapan but thank god there’s technology,” said Aiko.
She also added that her kids do miss her but she explained to them that she had to work.
“We have no choice but to work. And we are blessed that we have work, because not everyone in this lifetime has work. So we have to value the gift of work now. So they appreciate it,” Aiko added.
Wendell on the other hand admitted how difficult it was for their families during the locked-in tapings.
“Sa totoo lang, mahirap din para sa kanila. And of course, kasi nakikita nilang tayo rin naman. Kami rin naman no. Kahit na sandali lang yung mga panahon na yun,” said Wendell.
He also added how he motivates himself by ensuring his family that he will be alright.
“So ang iniisip ko nalang is I have to motivate myself and ipakita sa kanila I’ll be good. Magiging maayos kami and so far, God is good. Nagawa namin ng maayos itong trabaho na ito,” said Wendell.
Katrina also agreed with Wendell about the difficulty that their family experience during the locked-in tapings. She added a personal experience with her daughter in their first locked-in tapings.
“Ayun nga po, yun yung mahirap mahirap. Kasi nung una akala ko, pwede kong makasama yung anak ko, and then sinabi, bawal nga. Ayun nag explain naman ako sa anak ko. Pinaliwanag ko tapos kahit papano nung nakaraan, dumadalaw dalaw sya sa akin. Pero malayo lang. As in, di kami naglalapit talaga,” said Katrina.
Prima Donnas returns this November 9 with fresh episodes after six months of hiatus due to COVID-19. It airs weekdays at 3:25 PM, on GMA Network.
