In the interview for their Prima Donnas fresh episode return, actress Aiko Melendez shared how GMA7 ensured their safety during the locked-in taping.
Firstly, Aiko highlighted the standard practices that GMA7 provides their talents and crew through sanitization and swab tests.
“One thing I appreciate with GMA when we started taping during sa lock-in namin, the minute that we set foot on the set, everything was really sanitized. Nag-swab test kami,” said Aiko.
Then, she added how GMA7 made ensured their safety during filming through social distancing and usage of masks.
“Pero GMA made sure of our safety like yung social distancing yung mask talaga. Minsan nakukulitan na kami. Pero when you think about it its for our safety. Talagang kailangan naming gawin. And then, yung talagang pagsinabing duon lang kami sa sasakyan na yun, duon lang kami, then ilan lang kaming artista sa isang van,” Aiko added.
Aiko then added that GMA7’s efforts helped alleviate her anxieties during the first day of filming. Now, she feels excited to film the GMA7 teleserye.
“So talagang na-appreciate ko yun dahil sabi ko yun mga anxiety ko, nung bago ako set up sa taping natanggal yun nung ika-second day ko mag-taping. Kaya praise God. Dahil lahat kami safe and ngayon nasa second wave na kami ng lock-in namin, lahat ng anxiety namin, natanggal. Now its more of an excitement that we’re going to work again. We’re gonna be together again. And we’re gonna be in an environment na we’re safe,” said Aiko.
Prima Donnas returns this November 9 with fresh episodes after six months of hiatus due to COVID-19. It airs weekdays at 3:25 PM, on GMA Network.
