On the September 29 episode of Tutok to Win, a caller mistakenly acknowledged the show as part of ABS-CBN.
Linda Bagay, a housemaid from Tuguegarao was the chosen caller for the said segment. She had a hard time recognizing the host, Willie Revillame so the latter decided to introduce himself.
“Ang pangalan ko po ay Wilfredo.. Wilfredo Revillame,” the host said.
“Ay si Kuya Willie to? Willie dito sa ABS-CBN no?” the caller asked.
With this, Willie and his staff burst into laughter after Linda thought that he is still airing his show on ABS-CBN.
The host then clarified to the caller that he already shifted to another network.
“Dati po ‘yun, nalipat na po ako ng bahay.”
“Nakalipat na po ako, ‘di po sa ABS-CBN, sa GMA po.”
Willie Revillame was known for hosting the variety show, Wowowee on ABS-CBN which aired from 2005-2010. Due to some issues, he decided to transfer to TV5 where he rebranded his show many times from Willing-Willie to Wiltime Bigtime to Wowowillie. However, after three years, he left and moved to the network where he started his career, GMA. He titled his show, Wowowin which began airing in 2015.
During the pandemic, they had a smaller production labeled as Tutok to Win where netizens can post their messages on either Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter. Lucky winners will be chosen randomly and win cash prizes and gift packs from their sponsors.
