Singer-actress Vina Morales has allegedly refused a new teleserye project offered by ABS-CBN.
In a Bandera article by Reggee Bonoan, Vina shared her reason for not accepting the Kapamilya teleserye offered to her.
According to Vina, she cannot do lock-in tapings because it will mean leaving her daughter for quite some time. Lock-in taping is the current set-up in teleserye shootings as part of the COVID-19 health protocol.
“There was an offer for a teleserye but lock in nang matagal, e, hirap pa iwanan si Ceana (anak niya), kaya thankful ako na may Kesaya-Saya at Tagisan ng Galing,” Vina said.
Meanwhile, Vina is currently busy with her two programs on NET25.
Morales is hosting Tagisan ng Galing, a talent competition together with Imelda Papin and Marco Sison which airs every Saturday and Sunday.
Aside from that, she’s also co-hosting the musical variety show Kesaya-saya with Robin Padilla. The two however are not together in the studio as Robin joins the show remotely in their home via zoom.
“Finally, I got to work with him sa Net 25, 1st time namin puro movies lang kami,” Vina shared.
“Doon nagsu-shoot si Robin at si Mariel (Rodriguez-Padilla) ang camera woman. Ha-hahaha! Coz of pandemic and they have babies (Isabella at Gabriella) pa so bawal lumabas. It’s about OFWs so pasok ang theme, Sundays, 6:30 p.m. kami,” she added.
Vina’s last teleserye project was the Kapamilya afternoon series Sandugo in 2019 with Ejay Falcon and Aljur Abrenica.
Meanwhile, apart from her TV shows, Vina is also busy with her online business. According to the singer-actress she is selling gourmet tuyo, Binisayanag suka, and peanut butter.
“Medyo stressful lang ‘yung delivery and inquiries, but that is good news kasi maraming interested, masasanay din kami doing online.
“’Yung Sukang Binisaya ako talaga ang gumagawa. Alam ko ring gumawa nu’ng gourmet tuyo at bagoong, pero dahil sa rami ng orders need ko ng supplier and also sa peanut butter,” Vina shared.
