PBB Otso ex-housemates Lou Yanong and Andre Brouillette revealed the secret to keeping their relationship strong despite being separated by a long distance.
They shared their experience as an LDR couple with Andre currently in Hawaii during their interview in Magandang Buhay.
On Thursday, October 29, Lou and Andre were invited to be the guests on the morning talk show Magandang Buhay with Andre being in the show via Zoom.
The couple revealed that Andre went to Hawaii to be with his family. Although Andre will come back to the Philippines, the two still had a hard time dealing with their situation as a couple.
The couple shared that they had a serious talk before Andre decided to go back to his home country.
“Sabi ko, ‘we really have to be mature about this, kailangan maging matatag tayo’ and even before pa umalis si Andre nag-usap kami na parang may malaking chance na we both will change kase he will go back to your own self, your own habitat in Hawai and then back here, I’m with my family I’m gonna be with my friends and sabi namin sa isa’t isa ‘may malaking chance na magbago tayo and kailangan natin ulit kilalanin ‘yung isa’t isa. Pero ayun, kakayanin,” Lou explained.
When Andre was asked if he was ready to be in a long-distance relationship, he said that he didn’t have any idea about how it will be but said that they just needed to be more patient with each other.
“I actually didn’t know what to expect. We’re both gonna be learning as we go. We did have the conversation before we left na we both need to have more patience with each other. Try to be more mature because we are in a long-distance [relationship],” he said.
He mentioned that they were able to get through their misunderstandings with each other through patience and constant communication. He also said that their faith made them stronger and brought them closer to each other.
“Sometimes ‘pag may away it may be hard for us to solve it if we can’t see each other. I’m actually very happy to say that when we do have our… I think we had a couple of away but we resolved it really well. We both actually had a lot more patience when we’re talking. … We are trying our best to really adjust, it really does come with respect and trust. And also we always put God in the middle of our relationship and it helps us so much in beautiful ways,” he said.
At the end of their interview, the couple was asked to give their vows to each other as if they were already getting married.
Lou expressed her love and support to Andre saying, “It’s gonna be hard, medyo mahirap and we both have been [through] maraming trials, especially now. I’m always gonna be here, you know from far away I always support you and your decisions and whatever you want to do in life. I’m always here cheering for you behind you.”

On the other hand, Andre said that he is grateful to have Lou in his life and that he believes that they will get through their struggle in LDR.
“I’m very thankful to God to have you in my life. I’m very blessed and you are very special to me. I love you very much and I know that we can do this. Mahal kita,” he said.
“I love you. Nothing’s changed. I still love you,” Lou replied.
Lou and Andre met as housemates in the reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB). They officially became a couple inside the PBB house when Andre asked Lou to be his girlfriend.
The couple have been in a relationship for about 1 year and 7 months now.
Both of them were a part of the ‘Ultim8 Big 4’ of “PBB OTSO,” along with Yamyam Gucong and Fumiya Sankai.
