Kapamilya star Tony Labrusca shared the struggle he went through in deciding whether to stay with ABS-CBN or to transfer to other networks.
In an article by Reggee Bonoan in Bandera, Tony said he turned to prayers during the time that he was so confused about what he’s going to do.
According to him, there were offers from other networks and other talent management, but he offered it all to prayer to help him decide on what would be his next moves.
“Ako po pinag-pray ko talaga kasi honestly this time, gulung-gulo ako kung ano ang gagawin kasi ang daming lumilipat, honestly may mga naging offers ako sa ibang network and sa ibang agency.
“Pinag-pray ko ‘yun, sabi ko, ‘Lord, please help me to decide kasi I honestly don’t know what to do and what’s meant to be is what meant to be na lang. So, I ended up working and meant to stay dito (ABS-CBN).
“I’d like to think na si Lord lang talaga ang gumawa ng paraan para mag-stay pa rin ako kasi ako rin, hindi ko alam kung gagawin ko at tamang desisyon,” Tony revealed.
Several Kapamilya stars have decided to accept offers from other networks following the shutdown and non-renewal of the network of the network’s franchise. But Tony is one of those who decided to stay and stand by the embattled network.
Tony started his career with ABS-CBN’s boyband search Pinoy Boyband Superstar.
After failing to win the search, he then ventured into acting where he became more popular.
His first break came after the highly successful and viral iWant digital movie Glorious alongside actress Angel Aquino.
He was then cast in different Kapamilya teleseryes like La Luna Sangre, Sino Ang May Sala and the successful BL series Hello Stranger.
He has also done several films like The Mall, The Merrier, Hindi Tayo Pwede and another iWant Digital film Love Lockdown.
Tony is also set to star in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye Bagong Umaga which will premiere on October 26. He’s also currently promoting his upcoming film U-turn with Kim Chiu and JM De Guzman directed by Derick Cabrido.
