Actor-model Tony Labrusca revealed that ABS-CBN’s trust and confidence in him gave him hope in his showbiz career.
At the virtual conference of Bagong Umaga, ABS -CBN’s upcoming teleserye, the actor was asked what gave him new hope in his life.
Tony had an airport incident back in 2019 when he shouted at an officer of the Bureau of Immigration upon arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Reports said that after immigration officers stamped his passport for only a 30-day stay, Labrusca got angry.
The BI said he reportedly cursed immigration personnel for giving him a difficult time with people trying to take pictures with him.
Because of the said incident, he experienced severe criticism and condemnation by netizens for his behavior, which had a negative impact on his personality.
But instead of dwelling on the negative reactions, Labrusca used this to motivate him to prove that he still deserves a second chance.
“I can prove them right na hindi ko nga deserve lahat ng mga project ko, lahat ng blessings ko, or gagalingan ko na lang.”
After the airport fiasco, Tony starred in trending moves such as the Glorious with Angel Aquino and Hindi Tayo Pwede with Lovi Poe and Marco Gumabao.
This made the actor very happy, especially with ABS CBN’s support.
Basta ako, masaya ako and grateful ako na may bagong umaga.”
As of now, the actor will be part of the cast of ABS CBN’s newest afternoon teleserya, Bagong Umaga, that will be aired on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and other ABS-CBN platforms starting October 26.
Also in the cast are Heaven Peralejo, Barbie Imperial, Michelle Vito, Yves Flores, and Kiko Estrada.
