In Ogie Diaz’s vlog last September 25, 2020. Super Tekla revealed that he was once at a low point in his life and that he almost asked help from the phenomenal comedian, Vice Ganda.
“Kay Mama Vice, sumagi sa isip ko. Alam mo ba Kuya Ogie na natulog ako sa kalsada ng almost 6 months. Nung tinanggal ako sa Laffline,” said Tekla.
He also recalled his experience of sleeping under the bridge near World Trade Center.
“Syempre may kagaguhan ka eh. Tinanggap ko yung parusa. Natulog ako almost six months sa may World Trade Center sa ilalim ng tulay,” Tekla narrated.
Tekla also noted that he had drug and gambling problems which led him to one of the low points of his life.
“Kasi unang-una nahook ako sa drugs, walang savings, nahook ako sa sugal, lahat kinombo ko lahat yun. At the same time, wala dumating ako sa time na ground zero na,” Tekla noted.
Romeo Librada or Super Tekla, is a Filipino actor, comedian, and television host. He gained popularity with comedian Donita Nose on the GMA7 show Wowowin as one of its hosts. Tekla also hosts ‘The Boobay and Super Tekla Show‘ with comedian Boobay. Their show once got pitted against Vice Ganda’s Sunday night talk show ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’.
Recently Tekla made news when he asked help from Wowowin-Tutok to Win host Willie Revillame because of his son’s medical condition amidst their issue.
