As Congress officially put an end to ABS-CBN’s franchise, the network was forced to shut down its broadcast and most of its programs. It also has undergone a retrenchment program and laid off most of its employees to cut costs.
Others, though not retrenched, also chose to shift to another network to continue their career.
One of those, is Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan, a director and the head of Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent management department.
With this, Daniel Padilla, one of the products of Mr. M, shared his opinions regarding the transfer of their ‘father’.
During the virtual press conference of Daniel’s upcoming concert, DJ said that he and other celebrities have no control over Mr. M’s decision as he is their boss.
He also said that he respects Mr. M’s to shift to TV5, considering that he already contributed numerous years of service to ABS-CBN.
Star Magic recently paid tribute to the ‘man behind the magic’, Mr. M’s golden year in the showbiz industry.
Moreover, Daniel added that most of the biggest stars in the industry at present, including him, are trained and molded by Mr. M, being the head of ABS-CBN’s talent management.
