Piolo Pascual is not banned from the ABS-CBN network after he released his latest single “Iiyak sa Ulan” with Star Music.
Star Music is the record label that is owned and operated by the media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation. It was formerly known as Star Records.
With his new single, Piolo dismissed the allegation about him being banned at ABS-CBN after he transferred to TV5 and now has TV shows on the Kapatid network.

“Oh diba, Star Music pa si Piolo Pascual. Nasaan na ang mga nagpapakalat na banned na daw siya sa ABS CBN? Kakaloka kayo ha,” a Twitter user said.
As reported by Philnews, there have been banning allegations before as a columnist named Ambet Nabus of Abante Entertainment mentioned that Kapamilya artists who are now working under the production company of ‘Brightlight Productions’ owned by Albee Benitez are “semi-banned” from appearing in the shows and projects of ABS-CBN.
Previously, netizens have already dismissed the reported banning issue by saying that there are still Kapamilya artists, those who transferred to other networks, who are still being featured in the news articles of ABS-CBN.

“Tsss. Wag fake news. Banned? Eh lagi nga featured si Maja Salvador sa mga ABS articles at mga guesting online. She’s still and will always be with Star Magic. Wag ako!” a netizen wrote.
Another netizen also said that the official social media account of ABS-CBN just recently promoted Maja Salvador that’s why the banning issue was proved to be wrong.

“Kaka-promote lang ng ABS socmed account kay Maja, ban na agad? Chismosa!” the netizen wrote.
Meanwhile, Piolo Pascual’s latest single premiered on YouTube by ABS-CBN Star Music on Thursday, October 29. ABS-CBN’s music outfit also released the lyric video of Piolo’s new song on Friday, October 30.
“Iiyak sa Ulan” was composed by Dan Lagroma and produced by Jonathan Manalo.
Piolo also promoted his song through his Instagram account when he posted about the song’s teaser.
“#IiyakSaUlan out on Friday. Pre-save link in bio,” he wrote in the caption.
Piolo Pascual transferred to the TV5 network and is currently a part of the Sunday musical-variety show called ‘Sunday Noontime Live’ (SNL). Piolo was joined by former Kapamilya artists such as Donny Pangilinan, Catriona Gray, and Maja Salvador.
This is the first time that Piolo has transferred to another network although he is still a part of the Star Magic agency. He officially left the Kapamilya network on September 14.
People claimed that the actor only followed Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan who also transferred to TV5 to direct Sunday Noontime Live. Mr. M was the director of ABS-CBN’s ASAP Natin ‘To and is someone whom Piolo considers as a father figure.
