The multi-awarded game show which originally aired on ABS-CBN is back. Pilipinas, Game Ka Na Ba? is set to make a comeback.
The original Game KNB‘s concept is inspired by ‘cellular phones’ which first became famous in the early 2000s. Its title was derived from a usual text message practice where messages are shortened as possible.
It was launched on October 8, 2001, which was that time hosted by the Philippines’ Queen of all media, Kris Aquino. On March 3, 2007, she was replaced by Edu Manzano. The last episode of the said show aired on October 23, 2009
After 11 years from its final airing, the famous game show will be back on-screen starting October 12 (Monday) at noon.
On Friday, premium cable channel Jeepney TV announced it will air the said show as will the online streaming platform Kumu.
They also revealed the new host for the said game show, Robi Domingo.
Game KNB was known for its informative game format which suited Kris’s hosting then. Her joyful tagline for show included “May Tama ka!” and “Korek!”.
The grand cash prizes also add up to the excitement brought by the show as one player per episode will have a chance to win one million pesos.
