Kapamilya host-actor-manager Ogie Diaz has reacted to the latest development at the House of Representatives.
In a tweet, Ogie shared his reaction to CamSur Rep. LRay Villafuesrte’s statement regarding the change of leadership in the house brought about by the ouster of former House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
In his tweet, Ogie asked how could one sympathize with Villafuerte’s removal knowing he is one of the 70 Congressmen who opposed and voted against the ABS-CBN franchise.

Villafuerte was quoted by the Inquirer following his removal as Deputy Speaker. The CamSur congressman is a known staunch ally of Taguig Rep. Cayetano who up to the last minute could not accept that he had been ousted.
In his statement, Villafuerte said that the intention of the new leadership in removing him was to intimidate others who remain loyal to the former speaker. However, he said that the move was badly miscalculated and that it only shows how vindictive the new leadership is.
“If the intention of removing me was to intimidate all those who remain loyal to former Speaker Cayetano then they have miscalculated badly. Their vindictiveness merely shows that we were right all along, and exposes the kind of “leadership” we can expect,” said Villafuerte.
Villafuerte was replaced by 1-PACMAN party-list Representative Mikee Romero who was earlier removed by Cayetano and replaced by Rep. Fredenil Castro.
Villafuerte was one of the House leaders among the 70 congressmen who voted to reject the ABS-CBN franchise.
