Filmmaker Manny Castañeda earned flak from netizens who disaffirmed his fake claims about the timeline of the Skyway project.
On his Twitter, Castaneda claims that the Skyway Stage 3 was started by Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, delayed during Noynoy Aquino’s term, and accomplished by the current administration.
GMA started Skyway 3.

However, based on the records, stage 3 of the said construction project was launched in 2014, during Aquino’s administration.
With this, Castaneda was slammed by netizens for proliferating such false information.
Twitter user @lakwatsarah, clarified the timeline of the Skyway project. She disaffirmed that it was begun by GMA. She stated that though Skyway Stage 3 was approved in 1995 by Fidel Ramos, it just began in 2014 and ended which was completed this month.
GMA didn't start Skyway 3.
Construction of Skyway Stage 3 was part of the proposal submitted in June 1994 and approved in Nov 1995 (Ramos).

The user also emphasized that grand projects like this cannot be accomplished in one Presidential term considering the delays like, “Right of Way Acquisition (a most common reason for the longest delays), expiration of concessions, changes in joint venture agreements, necessary updates in and approval of design and road alignment proposals”

The Duterte loyalists and the liberal party supporters do not see eye-to-eye with each other. That’s why DDS discredits the Aquino administration for the Skyway 3 project.
Castaneda is a comedian and film director. He is known for being a ‘DDS’, an avid supporter of the Duterte’s administration. Years ago, he also made a buzz on social media after accusing PNoy of tolerating and receiving bribes from narco-politicians.
