Edward Barber confirmed that MayWard will have an upcoming movie.
On Friday, during a ‘Magandang Buhay’ guesting, the young actor said that he is excited for his movie comeback with his tandem partner Maymay Entrata.
He is also looking forward to enjoying working on this new movie.
“Ang nilu-look forward ko ay maging masaya ulit sa trabaho. Kasi may mga time talaga na habang nagtatrabaho ka hindi ka naman nag-e-enjoy, hindi naman masaya, pinipilit mong nguiti or tumawa.
“Pero ito, binasa ko na ‘yung script, pinost ko sa IG Stories ko ‘yung draft six. Masaya talaga ‘yung movie. Tapos hindi ‘yung sobrang bigat.
“So I’m looking forward to just having fun which is isa sa mga bagay na parang hindi ko ginawa nung ma last projects,” he said.
A month ago, Maymay already revealed her upcoming project with Edward which was postponed due to the implementation of quarantine protocols.
When she was asked about their teleserye, Maymay instead mentioned their movie project which came as a surprise to many.
“Siguro yung focus ngayon is yung movie, hindi kame nakapagshoot nitong August lang dahil sa MECQ kaya namove ulit siya next month,” she said.
The MayWard tandem began in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016 where they were both housemates.
Their last movie project was Fantastica in 2018, and they last starred in the television series in Hiwaga ng Kambat.
In April, both announced their decision to remain as friends after being romantically linked to each other for years.
Moreover, in the said episode of ‘Magandang Buhay Edward expressed his gratitude for their supporters and fans.
He also thanked his ABS-CBN and Star Magic family for the opportunity to work with the network.
“Ang daming nagsabi sa start ng quarantine, na ‘yung quarantine ay parang PBB. Nakakulong kayo tapos nandoon lahat ng emotions. At masasabi ko na kahit ganoon, kahit matindi ang pinagdadaanan nating lahat ay nandoon pa rin sila.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala na, the level that they were giving us before of support is not just the same, it’s even higher. Hindi ko ma-explain. Parang baliw talaga kayo because until now you are still giving us that support.
“A lot has been said sa social media, a lot of stuff has been lied about, false statements and through it all, I look sa may Instagram, sa direct messages, minsan toxic ‘yon, pero I read them and I read some messages, they say, ‘We still trust you Edward. We still support you, We still love you.’ At hindi ko masabi, hindi nila alam, hindi ko masabi sa kahit anong interview, hindi ko maipakita sa isang movie.
“They will never know the impact that that positivity has in my life. Now in the future or in the past, they will never know. But all I can say now is maraming-maraming salamat. Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako sa inyo.
“Sa buong ABS-CBN at Star Magic family, I can say dito lang talaga ako. I’m happy here. Thank you, ABS-CBN,” he said.
