Celebrity couple Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza are supportive of each other’s careers as seen when they congratulated each other on their career achievements in a separate post in their Instagram story.
Maine recently won Comedy Actress of the Year in the 51st Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box-Office Entertainment Awards for which Arjo congratulated her via Instagram story.
Arjo said that he is proud of Maine’s achievement saying, “Congratulations Bubs! Always proud of you @mainedcm.”
Maine was announced as the winner of the award on Sunday, October 18, through YouTube and TV5.
On the other hand, Maine also congratulated her boyfriend when Arjo won in the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020 as the Best Actor in a Leading Role category.
Maine congratulated her partner via Instagram story and said that she is not surprised that her boyfriend won because she is aware of Arjo’s skills as an actor.
She even joked about asking Arjo for a fan sign, acting as if she was one of his fans.
“Not surprised at all. Iba talaga yung Arjo. Congrats, @arjoatayde! (Pwede pa-fansign?)” Maine wrote.
The 29-year-old actor bagged the award due to his excellent performance on the iWant original series Bagman.
Arjo played along with his girlfriend and replied saying “Hahahaha! Pag nagkita tayo ha? Labas mo phone mo.. no problem! hahahahahha”
The actor added saying that his award is dedicated to Maine who inspired him which filled their fans with joy.
“This one’s for you… thank you bubs.. to my inspiration.. I love you super kaduper much,” Arjo wrote.
Meanwhile, Arjo posted about his achievement on his Instagram account admitting that he almost gave up his passion for his craft due to all the challenges that he faced this year. But he said that he was able to realize that everything happens for a reason.
“Considering everything that has gone on this year, I was honestly close to giving up this craft I’m passionate about. But I’m taking this as a sign that things happen for a reason and what’s meant to be will be. This recognition is mine as much as it is of all the people who made this possible,” he wrote in the caption.
He thanked the directors and production team for their efforts in the series. He also thanked the Asian Academy Creative Awards for the recognition that they have given him. He said that he is extremely thankful and blessed to have such a reward.
“To the Asian Academy Creative Awards @asianacademycreativeawards thank you so much for this recognition. It is truly such an honor and I am beyond grateful… This means so much more to me than you I probably let on,” he said.
Maine and Arjo dating rumors began after they were seen together a couple of times without other companions back in 2018. At the time, the two were a part of the film Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles. Arjo only confirmed that they are exclusively dating on January 23, 2019, after the press conference of his movie titled Tol.
Maine also confirmed the dating rumors through her blog entry on March 2, 2019, which is a day before her birthday saying, “It’s true, I am dating Arjo.”
On December 21, 2019, Maine revealed that she is already in a relationship with Arjo when she posted a photo of the two of them on a boat, where she wrote, “happy first.”
