Veteran Kapamilya journalist and broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas is said to have rejected an offer to do a program with former partner Ted Failon on TV5.
Korina and Ted were a long-time tandem on ABS-CBN. The two started working together on the Kapamilya public service program Hoy Gising. They also co-hosted DZMM commentary program Tambalang Failon at Sanchez.
However, according to a Philstar article by Lolit Solis, Korina refused to work with Ted on a TV5 program.
According to Solis, Korina and Brighlight Production head Albee Benitez are set to meet the press with regards to their new show to be aired on TV5. Solis said this will be a good opportunity for Korina to address rumors about her refusal to work with Ted Failon.
“Puwede rin niyang sagutin kung totoo bang sana ay magkasama sila ni Ted Failon sa isang programa ng TV5 pero tumanggi siya,” Lolit said.
The veteran columnist also added that Korina can also address another issue about Korina replacing Kris Aquino in her supposed TV comeback.
“Saka iki-clear din niya ang mga ibang naglabasan na mga haka-haka na nagsasabi na siya ang pinili at hindi si Kris Aquino,” she added.
Korina’s magazine show Rated Korina is set to premiere on TV5 via BrightLight Productions’ blocktime agreement.
Ted Failon meanwhile is set to host a radio show over TV5’s Radyo Singko as confirmed by News5 head Luchi Cruz-Valdez.
“Ang macoconfirm ko lang si Ted Failon. Yes, he’s moving to Radyo Singko actually.
“Yung mga iba narinig ko rin pero wala kong confirmation doon, at least for my part kasi wala akong alam sa ginagawa ng Entertainment Division sa Cignal. News lang talaga ako, so for news, yes I’m confirming that Ted will join us.”
