Does luck come with a price tag?
This Saturday (October 24), Wish Ko Lang! presents a compelling story about a couple whose life was transformed by lottery.
Nora (Katrina Halili) and her husband Rex (Dominic Roco) have long been struggling financially. Because he has no money, Rex cannot go home and has been stranded in the province. Nora is left with the company of her son Louie (Miggs Cuaderno) and her friend Beverly (Divine).
Nora’s life changes when one day, she dreams of the winning combination to the lottery. Her dream becomes real and Nora wins the lottery. With the amount she won, Nora became instantly rich. But it seems being lucky has a price. One night, a group of armed men barges into Nora’s mansion. Will her family survive the attack?
Katrina admits trying out her luck in the lottery before, “Nasubukan ko nang tumaya sa lotto, pero hindi pa ako nananalo.” But this does not mean she has not experienced life moments that feel like she won the lottery.
Meanwhile, Dominic shares that while he has not tried playing the lottery, he considers his acting award as his biggest winning moment to date. “Never ko pa sinubukan tumaya sa lotto. Ang pinaka-jackpot sa buhay ko ay nung nanalo ako ng award,” he says, referring to the Best Actor nod he received at the 2015 QCinema International Film Festival for the film ‘Sleepless’.
Migs also sees his acting awards as his winning moments in life.
