Julia Barretto is now a certified Viva artist after transferring from Star Magic. She proudly made the announcement on her Instagram account,
“I am now officially being represented by @vivaartistsagency. Thank you for the warmest welcome, I am truly looking forward to this new journey.”
But now that the actress parted with Star Magic after 14 years, what will happen to her ABS-CBN teleserye, Cara Y Cruz?
In a zoom interview, Julia finally addressed rumors that she hasn’t shown up for Cara Y Cruz tapings.
“Hindi po totoo na hindi na lang po ako nagpakita bigla (It’s not true that I suddenly did not attend the production),” Barretto said, explaining that she was present from script reading to general assemblies.
“Last minute din nilang nag-decide that they want somebody from Star Magic to be taking role muna from Cara Y Cruz, which was no problem for me, no hard feelings naman,” she said in reaction to production’s decision to get a Star Magic artist in the lead role instead of her.
And now that Julia is part of Viva Artists Agency she can’t help but be excited to work with anyone.
“Hindi naman po ako maarte sa mga magiging kasama sa trabaho. Ang proyekto naman po ang importante, yung story, mga makakatrabaho kong director, writers, mga producers natin, dyan naman talaga ako mas nakatutok,” the actress said.
Cara Y Cruz was expected to air on ABS-CBN before the government shut down the TV and radio broadcasts of the network and the subsequent launch of the Kapamilya Channel.
