Known fake news peddler, Jay Sonza changed his tone on the free TV return of media giant ABS-CBN.
In his latest post, he initially noted what happened with AMCARA.
“AMCARRA (sic) Broadcasting (free TV 23) had a blocktime arrangement with abs-cbn without approved amendments of franchise from Congress & NTC permit.
“Ayon tuloy, nasara din gaya ng Kapamilya Broadcasting,” said Sonza.
Sonza then continued by noting that he has no problem with ABS-CBN and Zoe TV deal as long as it follows the franchise guidelines.
“Walang problema sa blocktime arrangement ng Zoe Broadcasting (free TV 11) sa abs-cbn kung mayroon man, basta’t nasa tamang hulog iyong arrangement at amendment sa prangkisa ng Light Network at iyong ay approved ng NTC,” Sonza continued.
Then, he said he nothing against block time arrangements in general.
“Let it be known that I have nothing against blocktime or segment buy. Kailangan lang sumunod sa mga batas at alituntunin,” said Sonza.
Then, later on in the post, he hoped that nobody objects to ABS-CBN’s free TV return but he threw in some shade about former ABS-CBN Chairman Emeritus Gabby Lopez’s citizenship.
“Pray nobody objects to the use by Zoe Broadcasting of the airwaves by a broadcasting company that is not 100% Filipino owned as mandated by the Philippine Constitution,” said Sonza.

In the past, he was notorious for attacking ABS-CBN with a barrage of fake news amidst its shutdown.
Then, in his edited post from October 5, he toned down in his attacks against ABS-CBN. He initially noted Zoe TV’s analog-only transmitters to which then he edited to the network having weak digital transmitters.
His change of tone may probably be a result of his recent legal backlash from actress Julia Barretto’s camp. Sonza falsely claimed that the actress was pregnant, resulting in a lawsuit from Julia’s team.
