Amidst the retrenchment program of ABS-CBN due to the non-renewal of their franchise, there are still celebrities who stayed loyal to the network.
One of those celebrities who remained with ABS-CBN is Kim Chiu.
As the saying goes, “You don’t earn loyalty in one day, you earn it day-by-day” and Kim’s loyalty to ABS-CBN stood through the test of time.
Her solid allegiance to the Kapamilya network is paying off as she is one of those celebrities with continued projects with ABS-CBN despite the shutdown.
On September 11, her series Love Thy Woman ended. But two weeks after, she was introduced as the new host of the noontime show, It’s Showtime. The said noontime show just debuted on A2Z Channel 11 on October 11 with Kim still being part of the show.
She also has continued appearances on the Sunday noontime show of ABS-CBN, ASAP Natin To, where she has the moniker “Queen of the Dancefloor”.
She also holds the title as the “Millennial Horror Queen” with her newest horror movie, U-Turn where she co-stars with JM de Guzman and Tony Labrusca, expected to premiere on KTX.ph.
In December, she will also star in the newest series of Dreamscape entitled Bawal Lumabas.
The title was inspired by the viral video of Kim where she seemed confused which eventually became a meme online.
In the said viral video, the actress defended ABS-CBN from scrutiny amidst the franchise issue.
Despite the flak she earned regarding the “Bawal Lumabas” statement, she continued to support ABS-CBN.
Recently, Kim stated that she will not accept any other projects from other networks be it long-time or temporary.
The Chinita Princess started her career through the reality show Pinoy Big Brother where she was hailed as the first-ever Teen edition winner in 2006. From then, she became one of the prominent and most sought after Kapamilya actresses. Through the years, her gratitude and loyalty to ABS-CBN prevailed.
