Kapamilya star and former MYX VJ Donny Pangilinan has addressed rumors about his alleged network transfer.
In his latest vlog uploaded on his YouTube channel, Donny answered a fan who asked him if he already left ABS-CBN for TV5.
In response, Donny directly denied the issue saying it’s not true.
“Hindi po,” Donny answered.
He then clarified though that he will be part of a Sunday show on TV5 but it will not be permanent as he will still be doing projects with ABS-CBN like He’s Into Her.
“Hindi po ako lumipat ng TV5, pero magiging parte po ako ng isang show tuwing Linggo.
“Sasamahan ko muna si Mr. M, ang aming tatay sa Star Magic. Siya po ang magiging director namin. Pero hindi po magiging permanent ang appearance ko dun kasi marami pa po akong gagawin sa ABS lalo na He’s Into Her alam ko ang daming naghihintay dyan. Malapit na guys,” Donny added.
Donny is set to be part of the Brightlight Productions’ Sunday variety show “Sunday Noontime Live” which will air on TV5 starting Sunday, October 18.
He will join other Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, Catriona Gray, Maja Salvador, and Jake Ejercito in the show that will be directed by no less than Mr. M Johnny Manahan.
Several Kapamilya stars have joined Brightlight Productions following the Congress’ rejection of the ABS-CBN franchise. Aside from SNL, weekday noontime show Lunch Out Loud with Billy Crawford, K Brosas and Wacky Kiray is also set to premiere on TV5 soon.
Korina Sanchez’s Rated Korina will also be part of Brightlight Production’s TV5 offerings.
Bobot Mortis’ gag show Sunday Kada Kada Sunday with Jayson Gainza, Miles Ocampo et.al is will also soon appear on TV5. And some other sitcoms and drama series featuring Kapamilya stars.
Brightlight Productions owned by former Rep. Albee Benitez scored a block time agreement with TV5.
