Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla said that a new KathNiel teleserye on free TV is a most likely welcomed possibility.
In an interview with MJ Felipe during the virtual conference for his concert, Apollo, DJ said it is more possible now with ABS-CBN returning to free TV via the A2Z Channel 11.
“Ano pa nga bang gagawin natin?” he said.
ABS-CBN and ZOE TV announced on Tuesday, October 6, their block time deal which enables several Kapamilya shows to air on free TV again. The agreement formally starts on Saturday, October 10.
Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo stood by the Kapamilya network especially during the height of its franchise renewal hearings. And although the application was rejected by the 70 congressmen, KathNiel choose to stay and wait until ABS-CBN bounced back.
During the interview, Daniel shared that he can wait until ABS-CBN fully comes back to life because the network helped him a lot.
“Sa akin, personally, ‘yung buhay ko, nagbago 360. Nakakatulog nang maigi ang pamilya ko ngayon dahil sa mga binigay na proyekto ng ABS sa akin. It’s not just ABS, may binigay sa akin. Siyempre, ‘yung binigay nila sa akin, trinabaho ko nang maigi. It’s a give and take.”
“I can wait. Kaya kong maghintay. Puwede akong maghintay. It’s not the end of me ‘pag lumipat na ako or something. I can wait hanggang makabangon ang ABS, dahil naniniwala ako na makakabangon tayong lahat dito.” Daniel said.
He also added that their reason for standing by the network is not only for the artists or talents of ABS-CBN but also for those employees who lost their jobs in the process.
“Hindi lang para sa mga artista, pero para sa mga empleyado na nawalan ng trabaho sa ABS. Kasama nila akong naghihintay.”
“Iyon lang ang sa amin, kaya namin maghintay, dahil iba rin naman ang binigay na tiwala sa amin ng ABS-CBN. It’s the least we can do for them,” he added.
Meanwhile, before a new teleserye, KathNiel is currently busy with their digital movie series The House Arrest of Us.
The series will start streaming on October 24 via ktx.ph and iwantTFC.
Directed by Richard Arellano, Daniel describes the digital film as a drama with a lot of comedy as they want to give good vibes and happiness during the pandemic.
“It’s more of a series na may drama, pero todo ‘yung comedy. Hindi lang siya puro comedy, meron tayong puso dito. May sakit pa rin.
“Gusto namin i-offer ni Kathryn ngayon is happiness sa show namin. ‘Pag pinapanood, madadala mo ‘yun hanggang pagtulog mo, e. Iyon ‘yung ginawa namin ngayon.
“Hindi mawawala ‘yung family drama, ‘yung sakit ng normal na pamilya na pinagdadaanan ang pandemya ngayon. Ganoon siya, very real. Sana abangan natin,” DJ said.
