Recently, ABS-CBN’s famous reality show, Pinoy Big Brother, announced the opening of auditions for their newest season.
PBB partnered with Kumu, a video streaming application, where aspirants can post their 1-minute audition video to introduce themselves.
Kumu has been flooded by audition videos of aspiring housemates since the first day of the audition. However, it has come to the attention of netizens that some of these aspirants previously promoted the cancellation of ABS-CBN’s franchise.
With this, they pointed out the irony and seemingly conflict of interest with these ‘DDS’ auditionees.
Ex-PBB housemates reacted to these audition videos and twitted aspirants with questionable stands regarding the ABS-CBN shutdown.
Bianca Gonzalez, who also hosts the said show expressed enjoyment over the ‘leaked’ PBB auditions.
Nakakatuwa makita yung iba't ibang "leak" ng PBB auditions. 🤪
Paunawa: Ang mga repost na ito ay walang bearing sa mga matatanggap ng PBB management, pampa-GV lang 😆

She also acknowledged some videos that entertained her but clarified that it has no bearing on the management’s decision.
First 5 seconds palang ng video naloka na ako! Hi @Itssassagurl! 👋🏼https://t.co/Otqp0Mcnb5

Season 2 housemate Dionne Monsanto advised auditionees to be aware of their previous posts which are ironic with their current hopes for a slot in the PBB house.
Yung mga sasali sa #PBB, konting delicadeza naman, pakilinis muna timeline niyo.

Moreover, PBB Lucky 7 celebrity housemate DJ Chacha suggested checking the former posts of these auditionees to avoid getting those who are for the franchise denial of the network.
Pakicheck po maigi ang wall ng auditionees baka may makapasok diyan na #YesToABSCBNShutDown 😂 Sa bahay ni Lola ipasok mga yooon! https://t.co/P5HP0kIw08

As ABS-CBN moves to Channel 11 through A2Z, PBB is expected to be one of the shows which will air on the said channel. Despite the shutdown, the Kapamilya network strives to deliver ‘service to the Filipino people’ by shifting to digital platforms and now, having a block time agreement with ZOE TV.
