Jesus is Lord Church and Zoe Broadcasting Network founder Bro. Eddie Villanueva has indirectly answered Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s statements regarding ABS-CBN’s return to free TV via A2Z Channel 11.
In a tweet on Friday, October 9, a day before ABS-CBN’s official return to free TV, Bro. Eddie shared a bible verse that talks about Jesus Christ as a non-racist and non-religious fanatic being quoted from Romans 5:8. The JIL leader also ended the tweet with “Hence JESUS CHRIST belongs to all!.”
“JESUS CHRIST is not a racist nor a religious nor political fanatic! HE is the Begotten SON of the Living GOD who demonstrated HIS LOVE for us that when we were still sinners CHRIST JESUS died for us!(Romans 5:8)Hence JESUS CHRIST belongs to all!,” Bro. Eddie wrote.

Villanueva’s tweet came after Pastor Apollo Quiboloy made statements on his TV station SMNI regarding the block time agreement between ABS-CBN and ZOE TV.
In his TV program “Give Us This Day” on the same daw, a viewer asked for his reaction regarding ABS-CBN’s return to free TV via A2Z specifically Vice Ganda and his show It’s Showtime.
Quiboloy asked Villanueva if he will allow programs that espouse homosexuality. He even questioned if as a religious leader, will Bro. Eddie tolerate Vice Ganda who openly espouses homosexuality on television which according to him is against the faith he is preaching.
“O, Brother Eddie, maraming nagtatanong, papayagan ho daw ba ninyo na ipalalabas ang palabas na people who are espousing homosexuality and openly? Openly… this is on television promoting this.
“Kasi kung lalabas diyan si Vice Ganda o ang ABS-CBN, may mga show na ganyan, ito-tolerate ba ng isang nagmamay-ari, ng isang religious leader, nagmamay-ari ng isang istasyon na papayagan ba niyang yan ay ipalabas sa Kanya na parang you are espousing homosexuality which is against the faith that you are preaching?” Quiboloy said.
Quiboloy and Vice Ganda were previously embroiled in a controversy after Vice joked about Quiboloy stopping the traffic in EDSA and putting an end to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. This was after Quiboloy claimed to have stopped the earthquakes.
After Vice’s joke, Quiboloy countered on his TV program saying it’s not only FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano that might end but the whole network.
Meanwhile, Quiboloy during the show also added that if it was up to him he won’t let programs or ads that promote vices which are against his Christian principles to be shown on the network.
“Kung ako ang may-ari niyan, puwede kong ipaarkila pero may kasulatan na gagawin: ‘Do not promote this here’.
“Tulad sa SMNI, mag-advertise ka, pero walang vices. Food products pwede, pero sin products, hindi pwede… Sin products, hindi pwede yan sa SMNI pero food products, okay ‘yan o ano pa yang produkto. It does not go against our principle of obedience to the will of the Father.
“Kung ako yung may-ari. Hindi naman ako yung may-ari ng Channel 11, so sa kanya natin itanong,” Quiboloy said.
A2Z Channel started airing Kapamilya shows last Saturday, October 10.
During the opening of It’s Showtime, Bro. Eddie’s daughter Jovi tweeted a video of their father watching the noontime show saying he’s praying for the whole show and all Kapamilyas.
“@Bro_Eddie is praying for all of you while watching Showtime.. God bless you all kapamilya! @vicegandako @ABSCBN @itsShowtimeNa,” she tweeted.
