As one of the Kapamilya stars who ventured to another network, host-comedian Billy Crawford denied that there is a rivalry between the new noontime show Lunch Out Loud and his former show It’s Showtime.
As a promotion of the said show, Billy posted his video doing the #brightlightschallenge on his Instagram account.

This prompted netizens to react and point out the impending competition with his former show.
“Katapat ng showtime.. wacky, billy, kaye brosas. rival na sila sa showtime”
Billy immediately denied this, replying, “no such thing as rival here sa LOL”
Another netizen also pointed out Billy chose to go up against where he came from.
“Tapat na Tapat talaga sa PINANGALINGAN nila tsk tsk tsk.”
Billy replied, “Got to do what we got to feed my child my friend!”
He also clarified that he and his It’s Showtime family have a good relationship despite the change of network.
“And araw araw ko pa din kausap ang akin pamilya sa showtime. No competition here all Love! #magkaisa.”
It can’t be denied that TV5’s Lunch Out Loud and ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime have similarities, especially on the subject and the sole purpose of entertainment. So it is not possible to deny the issue of contrast.
When the ABS-CBN network was shut down, TV 5 chairman Manny Pangilinan opened the doors to artists and workers who lost their employment when they tried to revive their entertainment department. Several staff and musicians have actually relocated to the Kapatid network.
In the meantime, owing to the block time agreement between ABS-CBN and Zoe Broadcasting Network Inc., It’s Showtime returned to free-to-air television last October 10, Saturday.
