Actress Beauty Gonzalez revealed that she is a ‘Kapamilya by spirit, by heart’ despite her upcoming show on the TV5 network. She will be one of the lead stars in the drama series ‘I Got You’.

Beauty will star along with Jane Oineza and RK Bagatsing. The series is produced by former Negros Occidental congressman Albee Benitez of Brightlight Productions which will enter a blocktimer spot with the network.

Despite transferring to the Kapatid network, the 29-year-old actress said that she will always be a Kapamilya by spirit and by heart.

“My heart will always belong to Kapamilya, everybody knows about that. Nothing will ever change, I’m always gonna be a Kapamilya by spirit, by heart,” she said.

According to a report, Beauty said that before accepting the project from the Kapatid network, she first asked for permission from her bosses at ABS-CBN. She mentioned that the gesture was a sign of respect to the network of which she started and developed her showbiz career.

“Ipinaalam ko naman ito, I asked permission kasi respeto na rin sa kanila kahit wala pa silang project na ino-offer sa akin because I owe them my career,” she said.

“I asked them nicely about it and they were open about it. ‘Sige, diyan ka muna habang nagre-ready pa kami,’” she added.

She also mentioned that her decision to transfer was reasonable because she did it for practical reasons. She said that she needed to work after having no jobs because of ABS-CBN’s shut down and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“So, thank you and, you know, practical naman, kailangan natin mag-work ngayon,” she said.

With regard to Beauty’s role in the upcoming drama series ‘I Got You’, she described her character as, “Ako si Del, isa akong psychiatrist and then I met Louie [RK], galing siya sa isang giyera and meron siyang post-traumatic syndrome and I’m helping him cope up with it.”

She explained that Del will fall in love with Louie but will soon discover that the latter will reveal secrets about himself that will make her character realize that there are still a lot of things about Louie that she didn’t know.

“Siyempre, guwapo naman si Louie, mabait, na-in love si Del,” she said.

“Pero ang dami palang mga sikreto ni Louie kaya medyo natakot si Del sa kanya na ang dami pala niyang hindi pa alam,” she added.

She mentioned that there are still plenty of things about the show that people should anticipate.

“Pero hanggang doon na lang kasi baka madulas pa ako…

“I’m sure na every week, aabangan niyo siya, kung ano mangyayari next week,” Beauty said.

“Ang daming aabangan na mga eksena. Parang mas malapit sa totoong buhay iyong mga eksena namin,” she added.

Beauty Gonzalez first came to prominence after being a part of ABS-CBN’s reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus in 2008. After her stint in the reality show, she became a part of several drama series with minor and supporting roles such as Alyana (2010) and Moon of Desire (2014).

She was offered a lead role in the series Ningning (2015). She also starred in other series such as Pusong Ligaw (2017-2018) and Kadenang Ginto (2018).
