Paolo Contis recently rose to ‘leading man’ status with the movie Through Night and Day. Actresses Andrea Torres and Yasmien Kurdi described how it was like to have the actor as their leading man.
Andrea said that Paolo is easy to work with because they didn’t need to work on their chemistry.
“Sobrang gaan, Di na kami dumaan dun sa kailangan we have to work on our chemistry or yung mga ganon,” said Andrea.
She also noted that she was star struck by Paolo because she saw the movie Through Night and Day.
“Tsaka in fairness na-star struck din ako kasi nanood ako ng Through Night and Day. So syempre natuwa talaga ako na sya yung nakapartner ko for this one,” said Andrea.
Yasmien noted that she was a fan of Paolo even before she went into showbiz and praised the actor for his work in Through Night and Day.
“Hindi si Kuya Pao ano magaling na magaling na artista yan. Bata pa lang ako napapanood ko na yan. Sobrang galing kaya ni Kuya Pao napanood ko rin yung Through Night and Day. Nakakaiyak. Magaling talaga si Kuya Pao. Yun lang masasabi ko,” said Yasmien.
Then, Paolo noted that he wants the set to be fun and isn’t concerned with the leading man status.
“Di dahil nangaaliw ako sa leading man. Di dahil dun. I just want the set happy and fun. Yun lang,” said Paolo.
Paolo started his career in 1990 at six years old, portraying side characters or antagonists in films and TV series. He gained popularity as a leading man at the age of 36 years old when Netflix picked up his 2018 movie Through Night and Day, as it trended during the pandemic.
