Kapuso radio anchor Ali Sotto has joined the many personalities who reacted to the insensitive and un-compassionate comment of MMDA Spokesperson Celine Pialago against Reina Mae Nasino.
In a tweet, Sotto slammed Pialago who said that the funeral of Baby River was turned into a drama serye. She also reminded Pialago that Nasino is not yet guilty so people should let the court decide on it.
“Ang dramaserye kathang-isip lang; true-to-life ang burol at libing ni River na sa napakaikling buhay ay di man lang nakalasap ng pagmamahal ng ina. Let the court decide if she’s guilty but until then empathizing with a mother who has lost a child is the least a human being can do”

Ali’s comment came after Pialago’s comment went viral on social media and earned the ire of many netizens.
In a Facebook post just after the burial of baby river, Pialogo posted her remark asking people to stop sensationalizing Nasino’s case
“Hindi lahat ng inang nakakulong ay nakapunta sa libing ng kanyang anak. Kaya kung sumisimpatya kayo kay Reina Mae Nasino, pag-aralan niyo mabuti ang dahilan bakit siya nakulong at kilalanin niyong mabuti kung sino siya sa lipunan.
“Masyado ninyong ginagawang pang drama serye sa hapon ang paghihinagpis niya. Tigilan niyo!,” said Pialago.
Fact-check muna Asec.
Hindi pa convicted si Reina Mae Nasino. She’s innocent until proven otherwise. pic.twitter.com/y2aZs7gRyW

Nasino is the activist who was accused of carrying illegal firearms and explosives and who eventually gave birth while in detention. She lost her child Baby River after they were immediately separated by the court.
She made headlines over the weekend after she was seen heavily guarded during the funeral of her daughter causing an uproar on both sides of the political spectrum.
While many have criticized PNP’s overkill security at the funeral to the point of not giving solemn private time to the family especially Reina Mae to grieve, DDS propagandists and supporters, on the other hand, hailed the security and put the blame on Nasino for being a careless mother.
