At the press conference for the upcoming Viva Films’ The Housemaid, veteran actor Albert Martinez said that his heart remains with ABS-CBN but he is open to working with other networks and production companies.
Firstly, he recounted his career with ABS-CBN after his hiatus from the showbiz industry.
“My heart is with Kapamilya. Kagaya nga malaki ang naitulong sakin since 2004. Nung bumalik ako when I did sa piling mo with Piolo and Juday. Dun nagumpisa yung buong career ko,” said Albert.
Then, Albert said that due to the ABS-CBN’s shutdown, he opened himself to working with other networks and production firms.
“But then again since medyo on the sideline muna yung ABS. Open naman tayo with other networks or other production companies,” said Albert.
According to IMDB, Albert started his career with ABS-CBN with the TV series Pedro Penduko and Sa Piling Mo in 2006. He then worked on popular Kapamilya teleseryes like FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, The General’s Daughter, La Luna Sangre, and Kadenang Ginto.
Alongside Albert, Jaclyn Jose, Alma Moreno, and Kylie Verzosa stars in The Housemaid. It is a Filipino adaptation of the South Korean drama suspense thriller of the same title. The original South Korean film directed and produced by Kim Ki-young premiered in 1960. Then, it had a remake back in 2010 for the Cannes Film Festival.
The production team aims to start filming by October 25, 2020, following safety protocols and guidelines.
