On July 10, Congress curtailed the media giant’s rights to air and broadcast as they voted for the non-renewal of the ABS-CBN’s franchise.
Their decision pushed the media company to undergo a retrenchment program and let go of most of its employees.
Despite the setbacks, the networks strived to continue their service to the Filipino people by providing news and entertainment using different online platforms like Facebook and YouTube.
Their block time agreement with Zoe TV indicates how they try to seek other ways to deliver their broadcast amidst their channel’s shutdown.
