Brighter mornings await Filipinos with the return of well-loved TeleRadyo program “Sakto” this Monday (October 26) as a morning show.
Original host Amy Perez comes back with new co-anchors in Jeff Canoy and Johnson Manabat to bring fun and good vibes to viewers from 6 am to 7 am and complete the morning block of the cable news channel.
Johnson delivers the news and interviews on current issues in the country in the segment “Gising Pilipinas,” while Jeff and Amy take care of the discussion about relationships, health, career, and leisure in “Saktong Kwentuhan.” The trio will also giveaway prizes and conduct fun games in “Saktuhan Na.”
Following “Sakto” at 7 am is “TeleRadyo Balita,” the flagship news program of TeleRadyo anchored by seasoned broadcaster Noli “Kabayan” De Castro and ABS-CBN News reporter Joyce Balancio, and the iconic program “Kabayan” at 8 am. In “Kabayan,” Noli puts the focus on public service as he serves as bridge between those in need and the agencies and organizations that can help them.
Meanwhile, veteran journalists Tony Velasquez and Danny Buenafe dissect the most pressing issues of the day with a touch of wit and grit in the Filipinos’ new morning habit “On The Spot” at 9 am, before TeleRadyo shifts back to public service mode with “Lingkod Kapamilya” at 10:30 am.
Known as “the heart of TeleRadyo,” the program of anchors Julius Babao and Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo continues to offer assistance and provide a platform for Filipinos to air their grievances and pleas for help. Countless missing persons have also been reunited with their families through the program. At 12 nn, Julius is joined by Tony to deliver the biggest news all over the nation in “Headline Pilipinas.”
