On Instagram, Karen Davila announced her comeback to the news and current affairs show of ABS-CBN, TV Patrol.
However, a netizen downplayed Karen’s return and claimed that TV patrol has only a few viewers.
The news anchor responded to the critical comment saying that the fewer views were the result of the non-renewal of the company’s franchise.
She also emphasized how ABS-CBN explores other ways to air their programs despite the closure.
“Well the franchise was not renewed, but look at the amazing side—ABS-CBN is still on air kahit papaano. Doing its best.”
She is also hopeful that soon ABS-CBN will be back.
Aniya, “Let us count our blessings. Malay natin – one day.”
Karen returned to TV Patrol on Wednesday after 10 years.

With her comeback to the news show, Karen admitted that she felt nervous and uneasy.
She last joined TV Patrol from 2004-2010 with Julius Babao and Ted Failon and moved to Bandila with Julius Babao and Ces Drilon.
Davila tracked back how the show was affected by the pandemic and the franchise denial. She feels blessed that despite all of these the show continues airing.
“Noong nagkaroon ng COVID, the late night newscast went off air mid-March for safety reasons… hanggang sa tuluyan nang hindi na-renew ang franchise.
“But look how God works. Eto at nakapag-sit in pa ako tonight! Talaga naman si Lord, puro surprise
She then expressed joy for her return to TV Patrol.
“Taking it one day at a time. So happy to be with you in the studio again
ABS-CBN shows including TV Patrol conquered online platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and IWantTFC.
Despite this adjustment, still many viewers patronize the show.
On their YouTube channel, since Monday up to Friday, they gained an average of 260 thousand views, while on Facebook their views ranged from 500 thousand to almost a million.
