University of Santo Tomas volleyball player EJ Laure posted a video showing her partner, former Goin’ Bulilit cast member Bugoy Cariñom and their baby named Scarlet.
It turned out that the reports about the UST spiker being pregnant was true despite her denying the rumors back in 2018.
Laure posted the video on Instagram as a greeting for Bugoy who celebrated his 18th birthday. She thanked the young actor for all that he’s done for her and their baby.

EJ Laure is a member and a former team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team. She became the UAAP Season 77 Rookie of the Year.
Bugoy also posted on his Instagram account a picture together with Laure and their baby. He thanked his partner for her unending support and assured that he will do everything that he can for the sake of his family.

Bugoy Cariño gained popularity when he won Star Circle Kid Quest, a television search for young talented kids in 2009. He became a regular cast member of Goin’ Bulilit soon after he won the kids’ talent search.
The rumors about Laure’s pregnancy surfaced after she missed the entire UAAP Season 80. Back then, she explained that she was not able to play because of a shoulder injury. She dismissed the rumors and said that people will always have something to say about others.
“Siyempre siguro tao din naman sila ,meron silang sariling opinyon. Hindi ko naman maiiwasang wag sabihin sa kanila na, ‘wag, ‘di ganon. Sa kanila na rin ‘yun,” said Laure.
“Ewan ko kasi parang hindi naman totoo ‘yung sinasabi nila and nasa kanila na lang yun, kung ano gusto nilang sabihin. Kasi siyempre tao din naman sila, may sarili silang opinyon,” she added.
The rumors also came after Bugoy was suddenly absent from It’s Showtime‘s all-male dance group Hashtags. Bugoy said then that he was not a member of the Hashtags anymore due to conflicting schedules with his other projects.w
“Meron din akong movie na ginagawa tungkol sa sayawan. Siguro kaya din po ako natanggal sa It’s Showtime eh dahil medyo naging busy din po ako sa movies. Dalawang movie po yun,” said Bugoy.
But the couple seems to open about their baby now as they both posted their family pictures on social media. However, their revelation garnered negative criticisms from the netizens as they said that the two are too young to start a family.
Netizens are even calling Laure a pedophile because Bugoy was only 15 years when she got pregnant while she was 20 years old.
