Kapuso actress Sherilyn Reyes defended her son, Hashtag Ryle Santiago, from a basher who said that the young actor was trying to act like he is famous.
This was when the basher saw Ryle wearing shades on Saturday, September 19, at Shangri-La Mall. The netizen also mentioned that Ryle should just focus on helping his mother with her beauty products business.
“Naka shades kapa kanina sa shangrila mall. Papansin Akala mong sikat ka. Tulungan mo nlang nanay mo maglako ng beautderm hahaha,” the basher commented on Ryle’s IG post.
Ryle replied saying, “di ako sikat, pero nakilala moko” along with a kiss emoji that showed that the young actor didn’t let the criticism get to him.
However, Reyes didn’t take the negative comment about her son lightly as she took to social media to express her frustrations from the basher through a lengthy post on her Instagram account.
She posted a screenshot of the basher’s comment for her son and mentioned that the netizen shouldn’t be quick to jump to conclusions without even knowing what a certain person is going through.
“WAG MAGHUSGA NG TAO DAHIL DI MO ALAM ANONG PINAGDADAANAN,” she said.
Reyes noted that her son was not wearing shades in the mall but instead, he was wearing a tinted face shield which was a gift for him of a certain Instagram shop.
Regarding the remarks about her selling beauty products, she mentioned that she is not ashamed of showing the public that she sells such products. She said that she is thankful for having a job even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She also said that the comment about her having no money is true but she’s not hiding the fact that they have no money as of the moment.
WALA daw KAMING PERA, totoo rin!” said Reyes.

“At kahit kailan lalo na sa mga kakilala ko ay never ko ikinaila na wala akong pera ngayon,” she added.
She explained that her family needs to earn money because she was recently scammed. She said that her family is struggling to pay the debts that were not theirs in the first place.
“Sa kasamaang palad, na swindle ako last year.
Despite the basher’s move to try to shame her son, Reyes mentioned that she hoped that the netizen will not experience the hardships that their family is facing right now.
She added that she will proudly sell her beauty products as it is an honorable job that helps her in providing for her family.
“AT OO TAAS NOO KONG ILALAKO HBAMBUHAY ANG BEAUTEDERM-ako.”
She was saddened that the basher dared to make fun of her son and her business. But, she still wished the netizen well and even mentioned that she prayed for him when she went to church.
Ipagpasalamat mong buhay ka at malusog at walang problema katulad ng akin 🙏🏼” she said.
