Eat Bulaga host Paolo Ballesteros has shared his opinion regarding the alleged intimate relationship between BB Gandanghari and Piolo Pascual.
BB Gandanghari, formerly Rustom Padilla, is the older sister of actor Robin Padilla. She revealed her true sexual orientation in 2006 when she joined Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition.
The rumor about the said intimate past was revealed by BB herself when she talked about it in her YouTube vlog on August 30. Her revelation garnered negative criticisms from the netizens who said that the transwoman vlogger shouldn’t have revealed something without first asking for Piolo’s permission. Some also said that she only used Piolo’s name to gain more views on her video.
In BB’s YouTube video, she revealed that she had a romantic moment with Piolo where they shared a kiss, and for the first time her old self Rustom felt something for another man.
“It was a fun night and Rustom had so much fun. After a long time, Rustom was genuinely happy and felt cared for,” she said.
“It was probably the most felt kissed, deep, passionate, but it was also more than that, because may feeling. Habang lumalalim ang gabi, palalim din ng palalim ang kumunoy na pinasok ni Rustom.” she added.
Someone who judged BB’s revelation is Paolo Ballesteros who is also a member of the LGBT community. Paolo said that what BB did was wrong because she forced someone to be out with their sexual orientation.
Paolo said that no one has the right to out someone because he believed that it is the person’s choice to do so for himself.
“I would never out someone. I think no one has the right to,” he said.
But he gave BB the benefit of the doubt saying, “I don’t think BB purposely outed PJ [Piolo Pascual’s nickname] naman, kasi wala akong nakikitang mapapala niya if she outed him.”
Paolo added that BB is already living happily in the U.S. and if ever the news about the transwoman vlogger and Piolo were true, he said that he wouldn’t mind it and said that it’s already in the past.
“She’s living her life happily sa U.S., at kung may nangyari man sa kanila or naging sila in the past, if it’s really true, then I don’t think there’s a problem with that at all,” he said.
He explained that no one can really judge the reliability of BB’s story because only BB and Piolo really know the whole truth.
Paolo added that people nowadays are free to love whoever they want to as long as they are not hurting anyone.
“Baka naman naikukuwento niya lang, and I don’t really think that’s kiss-and-tell dahil napakatagal na nun. Now, if she’s making up stories, that’s a very different story. Silang dalawa lang ang nakakaalam ng totoo,” he said.
“Saka 2020 na, #Lovewins na nga. Anyone can love whoever they want to. No question about that. As long as wala silang tinatapakan na ibang tao, gow!” he added.
He also said that people shouldn’t really make a big deal if BB outed Piolo because it is also is possible that Piolo remains a straight person while also having a relationship with BB.
“Bakit isyu ang in-out? Bakit in-out, e, meron naman mga straight na lalake na nagkakarelasyon sa bakla?” said Paolo.
“If he’s straight, wala naman sigurong problem,” he added.
Paolo Ballesteros revealed his sexual orientation in August 2019 during the press conference for the film The Panti Sisters. He confirmed the rumors of him being gay saying “I am a lady!” However, he was once romantically involved with Katrina Nevada with whom he has a daughter, Keira Clare.
He starred in several Filipino films such as Die Beautiful (2016), Amnesia Love (2018), My 2 Mommies (2018), and The Panti Sisters (2019).
