Kapamilya star Maja Salvador was reminded of a series with Sarah Geronimo and Rica Paralejo when she saw the Instagram photos of the Kardashians that showed them wearing red, green, and blue gowns.
The photos of the Kardashian sisters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé were posted by Kim Kardashian to promote their perfume collection which is KKW Diamonds.

As soon as Maja saw the IG post, she was reminded of the series Pangarap na Bituin because the colors of the gowns of the Kardashians matched the colors of the gowns that she and her co-stars Sarah and Rica were wearing.
She made a photo collage that showed the Kardashians and the Jewel Sisters photos with matching colors of their gowns.
The Jewel Sisters is the name of the singing group in the said series which was based on the names of their characters: Maja as Ruby, Sarah as Emerald, and Rica as Sapphire.
Maja posted the collage on her IG story of which she wrote, “Kardashians VS The Jewel Sisters.”
Rica also took notice of the similarities in colors when she reposted Maja’s IG story.
“Tawang tawa ako dito, Be!!!!” she wrote.
The Kapamilya hit series Pangarap na Bituin (2007) is available on ABS-CBN’s YouTube channel. It starred Maja Salvador, Sarah Geronimo, and Rica Peralejo who were sisters that got separated due to a massive earthquake that also killed their biological parents.
The story of the series soon progressed to having the sisters meet each other once again through their passion for singing and became a pop trio group called ‘The Jewel Sisters’. Together, they faced many challenges with their careers and relationship with each other as a family.
Artists like Jericho Rosales, Jay-R Siaboc, Alex Gonzaga, Cherry Pie Picache, Joel Torre, Rio Locsin, Pooh Garcia, and John Arcilla were also part of the main cast of the series.
Maja Salvador is an actress, singer, and host. She became a part of several TV series like Nagsimula sa Puso (2009), Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (2011), Ina, Kapatid, Anak (2012), The Legal Wife (2014), Bridges of Love (2015), and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2015-2016). She recently starred in the drama series The Killer Bride (2019-2020).
Meanwhile, Sarah Geronimo is a singer, dancer, actress, and record producer. She became famous after winning the television singing contest ‘Star for a Night’ which earned her a contract with Viva Record. She is known for her trilogy film with actor John Lloyd Cruz which is A Very Special Love (2008), You Changed My Life (2009), and It Takes a Man and a Woman (2013). She is currently a host and voice coach in the reality singing TV competition The Voice. She recently got married to fellow Kapamilya star Matteo Guidicelli.
Rica Peralejo is an actress, singer, and television host. She has been away from the limelight for a while now. She has starred in various TV series and films since the 1990s. Her last TV show was Mommy Hacks (2015) in which Rica was the host. Her last film was in 2010 where she became a part of Kimerald’s (Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson) film Paano Na Kaya.
