Kim Chiu, Yam Concepcion, Eula Valdes, Sunshine Cruz, and Ruffa Gutierrez, the lead stars of ABS-CBN series “Love Thy Woman,” joined viewers nationwide as they tuned in to the tear-jerking finale of the series that aired on Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live on Friday (September 11).
Thousands of live viewers watched the episode on Kapamilya Online Live on both Facebook and YouTube, while its hashtag #LTWTheLastWoman trended on Twitter as they posted praises and comments while watching.
The finale saw the two Wong families forgiving each other, as Lucy (Eula) turned herself in to the police in order to repent for her crimes. In their emotional goodbyes, she entrusted her daughter to both Kai and Jia, the only family she has left.
The five stars caught the final episode live and talked about it in the online show “Love Thy Chikahan,” where Kim and Yam shared the importance of forgiveness.
“It does not matter who hurt you. As long as you know how to forgive, you will always find happiness within yourself. It takes time to forgive. And in this show, Jia and Dana are blood-related. They are sisters. You shouldn’t turn your back on family,” said Kim.
Yam said it is her favorite scene in the show, saying, “The ego of the characters was gone. They accepted their mistakes and realized their shortcomings. There’s forgiveness. It’s really nice that they were able to forgive each other.”
The stars also turned emotional as they looked back on their moments together, shooting their series in the middle of quarantine and after the denial of ABS-CBN’s franchise.
“Thank you, because we finished strong. To the staff, crew, to everyone who mounted this series in the middle of a pandemic and in the middle of what ABS-CBN was going through. We’re in this together. We’re all here to give entertainment. Thank you to all the ‘Love Thy Woman’ supporters, because you guys took the fear and exhaustion away,” Kim emotionally shared.
