A netizen brought rape threats against Liza Soberano from a Converge employee and one of their Sales Heads to the attention of Ogie Diaz and the actress.
The actress replied that she will not let this threat pass. She also noted that they know her address.

The Twitter post from the netizen came from screenshots of a Facebook post in which a certain Converge employee named Melissa Olaes commented with a rape threat.
“Wala tayong magagawa, wala ng trabaho, kaya di bale ng masira ang image, magkapera lang. Sarap ipa-rape sa mga… ewan!” wrote Olaes.

Converge has since issued an apology stating that they do not tolerate the actions of the people involved. They also noted that they do not reflect the company’s views and opinions. The also noted that they are taking disciplinary actions.
“We are deeply concerned about the wrongful comments and behavior of some employees over social media. We do not tolerate such actions toward any customer and emphasize that their personal opinions do not reflect the company’s perspective, values, and culture. We are currently dealing with this matter and we will carry out disciplinary measures accordingly,” said Converge on their Facebook page.

Additionally, Melissa Olaes also posted an apology statement on her Facebook account. She recounted this incident as a private conversation despite it being a comment on a Facebook post.

On September 6, 2020, Liza posted about Converge’s internet speed. She also noted that she isn’t a happy customer. She also mentioned the poor customer service of the Internet provider.
