On her Twitter account, Film Development Council of the Philippines chair Liza Diño-Seguerra admitted that people often mistake her for the mother of her partner Ice Seguerra.
It was because of a Twitter post of Remate online, stating common misconceptions Diño receives when she is with Ice. To which she jokingly noted that it does happen a lot.
“Hahahaha! Yup, maraming beses na,” said Diño on her Twitter account.

Diño received backlash from different institutions because of FDCP’s advisory outlining requirements for audio-visual productions under the “new normal.”
The Director’s Guild of the Philippines (DGPI) and The Association of the Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines deemed that the new outlines as an overreach for production crews.
Diño also received backlash from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for lobbying to have FDCP manage the annual Metro Manila Film Festival. It resulted in her removal from the executive committee of the MMFF.
On the other hand, Ice recently revealed that he suffered from depression and anxiety. He also noted that he received diagnosis in early 2000s and that he has been seeking help from therapists. Ice then added that his revelation was brought upon his short stint working in the government.
