The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has revoked the assigned frequencies of ABS-CBN.
But even if it no longer has a franchise and is no longer on free television, ABS-CBN assured fans that the Kapamilya Network will not stop producing new programs, digital shows, and fresh episodes of unfinished teleseryes.
In the latest vlog of ABS-CBN director and executive Laurenti “Lauren” Dyogi, he addressed ABS-CBN’s future plans after the franchise rejection.
These included stars that will change networks due to the franchise rejection.
“Hindi naman po ito bago. Sa mga nakaraang panahon, nangyari na po ito at pinayagan namin sila. At ayaw namin na mapagkaitan sila ng hanapbuhay o kabuhayan. Kaya sa darating na panahon, maaring makita niyo ang ilan sa aming Kapamilya stars o artist na nagiging guest o nagiging bahagi ng ibang network.”
But despite this, ABS-CBN has prepared for their new and upcoming projects. These include Cara Y Cruz with Julia Barretto and Walang Hanggang Paalam led by Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo, Arci Munoz, and Paulo Avelino.
Angelica will also have a talk show, Ask Angelica and she will also be the leading lady of Coco Martin in Love or Money, which would have been an official entry for Metro Manila Summer Film Festival last April 2020 before the festival was shelved because of the pandemic.
Despite the higher expenses that ABS CBN would incur as a result of a franchise rejection, continued production of new programs by ABS-CBN is one way of fulfilling its pledge to serve the Filipinos.
“Mas mahal na gumawa ng mga programa ngayon dahil po sa safety protocols at dahil wala po kami sa free TV. Ang kita po namin ay kung ikukumpara sa kilohan ay halos isang guhit na lang.”
Last 2019, ABS-CBN announced the cast of the upcoming teen-oriented series He’s Into Her starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

“Alam niyo kung iisipin lang namin ang kita ng kompanya, mas madali pong tumigil at hindi gumawa ng programa at mag-replay na lang po kami. Pero ang tingin po namin sa panabon na ito ay matugunan namin ang aming commitment to serve sa atin pong mga kababayan. Dahil sila po ngayon ay naghahanap ng konting aliw na maibsan ang kanillag hirap sa panahong ito.”
