Actress-comedian Rufa Mae Quinto is rumored to be leaving the Philippines for good as she posted about the completion of her green card application on her Instagram account.
“Finally complete amen. go go green Card ! Todo na to ! Winner dinner habang super paper works,” she wrote on her IG Story.
Having a green card means a person is allowed to live and work permanently in the United States as stated in the official website of the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services.
People speculated that Rufa is already planning on staying in the US permanently together with her American husband and three-year-old daughter.
She is currently in the US with her family because they weren’t able to leave following the implementation of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It can be remembered that Rufa posted about the current situation of her well-being and career in the Philippines while staying in the US amid the pandemic.
She mentioned that she was lost and didn’t know what to do because all her scheduled shows and projects were canceled due to the threat of the coronavirus.

“Nakuha ko pang ngumiti sa kabila ng Hinde ko alam ano Gagawin ko, Lahat ng shows cancelled, lock down , quarantine , etc… ( No work , no pay) 🤦♀️” she wrote.
She added that she was able to find happiness even in the simple things despite the challenges in her career by visiting a park in America.
“Last week ito , I went to Yosemite national park of America. (Ito Ang mga bagay na free, but can make me happy…falls , river, forest, ocean,rocks, sun , moon, animals, snow ,trees etc..)” she explained.
Rufa mentioned that she had no choice but to extend their stay in the US for safety purposes even though she misses the Philippines.
“Anyways, miss ko na ang Pilipinas Kong mahal… gusto man namin umuwi, Wala ako Magagawa Kundi mag extend ng mag extend para sa safety naming mag ina,” she said.
Rufa also said that she is thankful for her husband who is taking care of her and their little girl.
“So I told myself , kahit Anong plan, you will never know, can never tell, what’s going to happen. Mabuti nalang Andito kami sa Asawa ko, @trevvvsilog sama sama. Thanks for taking care of us, for giving us a home and family. Ito na yung go go go family love,more more, bigla ako naging am girl (nosebleed), full time house wife, mother-“ she said.
“Makakaraos din 🙏 Positivity! Go go go! Fight fight fight!” she added.
Rufa Mae Quinto is an actress, comedian, television host, and singer. She is currently married to financial analyst Trevor Magallanes whom she met during her fifth visit to the United States. They got married on November 25, 2016. Their daughter Athena was born shortly after on February 18, 2017.
