September 2, 2020 – Manila, Philippines — Understanding the frustration of unsatisfied cravings, Grab opens more delicious possibilities to customers with GrabFood’s new Long Distance feature.
Offering its widest delivery range yet at 10 kilometers, customers can now have access to a wider selection of restaurants previously not accessible in their location. For instance, Makati customers can now satisfy their chicken wings and burger cravings by ordering from Frankie’s and MOS Burger. Manila residents no longer have to venture far as Single Origin, Uncle Moe’s, and Gino’s are just a few taps away, while Quezon City customers can enjoy their favourites from Wildflour, Your Local, and Angrydobo right in the comfort of their home— all through GrabFood Long Distance. More selections await customers upon checking the app.
Restaurants available for long distance delivery can be easily accessed through a dedicated tile in the GrabFood home page. The estimated time of delivery based on the distance is also indicated so customers can anticipate and track the arrival of their orders.
GrabFood’s Long Distance feature also helps merchant partners serve more customers, giving them an opportunity to improve livelihood by making them more accessible on the platform. An increased delivery fee for Long Distance orders will also be implemented to further help our delivery-rider partners.
“We are doubling down on our promise to give Filipinos the food they love by going beyond the distance. Through GrabFood’s Long Distance feature, we open more delicious possibilities for customers to enjoy, and at the same time support our merchant partners and delivery-rider partners in the process,” said GrabFood Philippines Head EJ Dela Vega.
