In his YouTube Vlog, Director Laurenti Dyogi said that even before the loss of ABS-CBN’s franchise and the pandemic, some artists already asked for permission to move networks.
“Alam nyo po bago po kami mawalan ng prankisa, ay mga ilan na pong mga artists na nagpaalam po sa amin na lumipat sa ibang network. Di naman po ito bago sa mga nakaraang panahon, at pinayagan naman po namin sila. Ayaw po namin na mapagkaitan sila ng hanap buhay, o kabuhayan,” said Direk Lauren.
However, Direk Lauren was glad to hear that a lot of their talents and artists chose to remain loyal with ABS-CBN.
“Pero po ang mas magandang balitang natanggap namin ay marami rin po kaming nakausap na artista na nagsasabi na they will stay loyal, and they will stick it out with the Kapamilya network hanggang, ito po ay makabangon, tutulong po sila sa pagtaguyod, sa pagbangon ng bagong ABS-CBN,” Direk Lauren noted.
In his vlog, Direk Lauren also listed ongoing projects that ABS-CBN have. He noted that despite the decrease in programs, Kapamilya’s can still watch Magandang Buhay, It’s Showtime, and FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Direk Lauren noted new teleseryes such as Ang Iyo ay Sa Akin, Cara Y Cruz, and Ang Walang Hanggang Paalam. He also noted upcoming movies such as Hello Stranger Movie, Four Sisters before the Wedding. Direk Lauren also hinted on multiple Metro Manila Film Festival entries with Vice Ganda; Coco Martin and Angelika Panganiban; and a Horror Film with Kim Chui.
