Queen of All Media Kris Aquino seems to have deactivated her Instagram account as she has not posted anything new for about a month now.
People speculated that she did this because her TV 5 show will not push through once again.
Her last post on the photo-sharing platform was on August 21, when she posted a tribute for her late father Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. on the national non-working holiday ‘Ninoy Aquino Day’.
With the hashtags #RememberNinoy and #NinoyAquinoDay, she wrote, “Isang pag-alala sa tapang, sakripisyo, at pagmamahal sa bayan ni Sen. Ninoy Aquino.”
“Bayan, mula noon hanggang ngayon, lagi’t laging tandaan, hindi ka nag-iisa,” she added.

People noticed that Kris has no new posts lately. Some people have theorized that her lack of activity on social media was due to her TV 5 show being postponed once again. It can be remembered that her Kris’ supposed TV comeback with her show titled “Love Life with Kris,” was announced canned for the second time around.
The show was supposed to premiere in July where it will air live every Saturday from 5 pm to 6 pm and will also be available on its official Facebook page but was pushed back to August. However, the show failed to push through in August once again because of the supposed issue with ‘politics’. It was the same scenario when she was about to star in her own talk show on GMA Network more than three years ago, but the closest she came to a comeback was to host a TV special titled Trip ni Kris.
Another reason for the cancelation was supposedly a misunderstanding between Kris, the TV network, and the producer of the TV show. An industry insider revealed that a “falling out with the producer” was what caused Aquino’s show to be halted anew.
This was not the first time that Kris has deactivated her Instagram account. It can be recalled that she also deactivated her account back in July when she deleted all her photos and videos. The reason behind her action was unknown but it was believed to because of her new TV show being pushed back.
Kris earlier signed a new contract with Cornerstone Entertainment and has been hinting at her return on television.
She has already posted a teaser to her show “Love Life with Kris” but with the show still facing several issues with its staff. Kris Aquino’s fans will have to wait for her TV comeback.
Kris is one of the country’s most recognizable faces, thanks to her work as a talk show host, actress, endorser, and entrepreneur.
It was in 2016 when Kris bid farewell on live television on her ABS-CBN show Kris TV. Since then she ventured onto the digital world, having her own production on her YouTube channel.
After several attempts to go back on television, with the travel-themed special “Trip ni Kris” on GMA in 2017, Aquino decided to lie low. Later, she diverted her focus to her health and wellness after getting diagnosed with Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, an autoimmune disease.
Her last film was in 2018 when she made an appearance in the movie “I Love You Hater” of Star Cinema productions and in an international cameo in the film adaptation of “Crazy Rich Asians.”
