ABS-CBN may not be currently available on free television, but it does not mean it will stop offering new shows to its loyal followers.
It is now proving that it is business as usual, as it delivers fresh new content via its cable and online platforms.
Within the month of September, two new shows are scheduled to premiere on Kapamilya Channel’s primetime block: the mini-series, Hinahanap-hanap Kita, and the new soap opera, Walang Hanggang Paalam, replacing the action-drama series, A Soldier’s Heart.
Produced by TFC Studios, Hinahanap-hanap Kita, premieres on Philippine television after being seen on The Filipino Channel and ABS-CBN streaming service app, iWant, last year. The mini-series follows the Filipino diaspora, but sets its focus on a group of Overseas Filipino Workers in Dubai.
It stars Maja Salvador, Geoff Eigenmann, and Pepe Hererra, and has an original total of eight episodes. Its Kapamilya Channel version, however, will only run for five episodes, which is fewer in number, but longer in duration. The series sheds light on the plight of the OFW’s as they forge friendships, make ends meet, and make their dreams come true, in a foreign land.
After Hinahanap-hanap Kita’s one-week run, Angelica Panganiban-led Walang Hanggang Paalam will promptly occupy the vacated slot. Panganiban is joined by Paulo Avelino and Zanjoe Marudo, in a story about estranged parents who are forced to reunite when their son gets kidnapped.
The soap will be ABS-CBN’s second full-length series to premiere on its cable channel, Kapamilya Channel, the first being Jodi Sta.Maria and Iza Calzado-starrer, Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, making it also the network’s second full “digital-serye”.
Replacing A Soldier’s Heart, Hinahanap-hanap Kita runs from September 21 to September 25, preempting Walang Hanggang Paalam, which will premiere the following week.
Both shows will air over Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live, and will be streamed via iWantTFC
