On-screen and real-life couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla celebrated the 9th anniversary of their love team called ‘KathNiel’.
Their fans as well as celebrities also celebrated and posted about it on social media.
Daniel’s mom singer-actress Karla Estrada posted on her Instagram account regarding KathNiel’s near-decade tandem long and thanked all the loyal followers for the love and support that they’ve shown to the couple.

In the video, Kathryn and Daniel both shared their message of appreciation for their fans for their love and support.
“Happy 9th anniversary at nakakatuwang isipin na siyam na taon na tayong magkakasama. Maraming maraming salamat at hanggang ngayon andyan pa rin kayo kasama namin ni Kathryn na nagmamahal, nagpo-protekta at naging kaibigan na rin namin,” Daniel said.
“Thank you dahil karamihan sa inyo kasabay namin tumanda. ‘Yung iba nagkapamilya na, nagkaanak, pero still, grabe pa rin ‘yung suporta niyo at patuloy na dumadami ‘yung nagiging parte ng pamilya natin,” Kathryn said.
She added that their journey in the past 9 years wasn’t always easy but she said that the hardships only made them stronger. She said hoped that they will be able to do more projects together after the pandemic.
“Paulit-ulit namin ‘tong sinasabi pero maraming maraming, salamat. Lahat ng na-accomplish namin ni DJ ngayon, alam niyo na kasama kayo dun. ‘Yung journey natin na ‘to, hindi biro ang pinagdaanan natin but that made us all stronger,” said Kathryn.
“Sana marami pa tayong magawa, sana nandyan lang kayo parati, konting hintay lang dahil mahirap sa ating lahat itong taon na ‘to. Pero babangon din tayo lahat ng magkakasama at maraming salamat sa hindi niyo pag-iwan sa amin ni DJ,” she added.
DJ added that people should remain in their homes so that they will be safe from the virus and encouraged the people to be kind to others.
“Alam naman natin ang sitwasyon ngayon so kayo, stay [at] home, at stay safe din at isipin natin ang kapakanan natin at ng pamilya natin at syempre mga kapwa natin,” Daniel stated.
“Let’s be good to everyone at magmahalan tayong lahat,” he added.
Kathryn also expressed her gratitude to their fans who have been there throughout the years.
“Also speaking of good, gusto namin maipakita ‘yung appreciation namin sa lahat ng ginawa niyong tulong through the years, hindi lang ngayon,” she said.
She mentioned that she is proud to have a fandom who has a good heart and enthusiasm in helping people who are in need.
“Nakaka-proud na meron kameng isang pamilya, isang fandom na may kusa kayo, na mabubuti ‘yung puso niyo para tulungan ‘yung mga mas nangangailangan,” she said.
“Salamat sa pagsuporta din ninyo sa mga causes din namin. Nakaka-proud makita na ganyan kayo, tumutulong kayo at shinishare niyo ‘yung blessings nating lahat. So, very good!” she added.
Daniel ended the video saying, “So again, happy 9th anniversary at mahal namin kayo.”

The KathNiel loveteam started back in 2011 when the two were paired in the youth-oriented show Growing Up. After that, they’ve starred in numerous hit projects until they became one of the most in-demand screen pairings in the showbiz industry.
The two starred in several TV series like Princess and I (2012–2013), Got to Believe (2013–2014), Pangako Sa ‘Yo (2015–2016), and La Luna Sangre (2017–2018). They also starred in several films such as Must Be… Love (2013), She’s Dating the Gangster (2014), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), Can’t Help Falling in Love (2017), andT he Hows of Us (2018).
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla have only been a couple for about 8 years now. They recently celebrated their 8th anniversary amid the COVID-19 pandemic by having a simple dinner with the food that their friends and solid KathNiel fans brought them.
The couple is supposed to star in a 2020 movie called After Forever but it was canceled due to the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kathryn is currently preparing for an upcoming digital sitcom (situational comedy) under the ABS-CBN network. While Daniel is set to hold an online concert, called “Apollo: A Daniel Padilla Digital Experience,” on October 11.
