Kapamilya star Angelica Panganiban revealed that she has no plans of going to other networks as of the moment and said that she prefers staying with ABS-CBN.

During the virtual press conference of her show ‘Ask Angelica’ on Saturday, September 19, she revealed that she received various job and project offers from rival networks but she decided to stay with the Kapamilya network.

“Of course may mga tumawag, may mga nag-offer. Hindi siya kasi sumagi sa isip ko. Hindi pa siguro ngayon. Hindi ko puwedeng pangunahan yung mga mangyayari. Pero ngayon, hindi ko lang kaya,” she said.

She said that she will keep her doors open for the other networks but she assured that for now, she will stay with ABS-CBN. She added that she just can’t get ahead of her home network’s current situation and that she couldn’t bear to leave the network now.

She also said that she doesn’t see the need of leaving the network because she is already happy with ABS-CBN.

“Happy ako kung nasaan ako ngayon. Hindi ko nakikita yung need kung bakit [ako aalis],” she said.

On July 10, lawmakers voted to deny the franchise application of the ABS-CBN network which led to the network shutting down its free TV and radio operations and lay off most of its employees. The Kapamilya network also had its frequencies recalled by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that’s why Kapamilya artists have already accepted offers from other networks.

Even though some of the Kapamilya artists have already moved to other networks due to the denied franchise of ABS-CBN, Angelica mentioned that she has nothing against those artists because she understands that all of them have their own needs to fulfill, especially their needs financially.

Angelica explained that as long as she still has projects with ABS-CBN, she will remain in the network.

“Ako naman I’m very thankful na hanggang ngayon may trabahong ibinibigay sa akin yung ABS-CBN. Dito na muna ako. Siguro kapag walang-wala na talaga, wala na kaming makain pamilya, at saka ako lilipat. Pero hangga’t meron, okay pa naman ako,” she said.

Her upcoming show ‘Ask Angelica‘ which is about her answering questions from her fans, will premiere on September 25, on different social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.

Aside from ‘Ask Angelica‘, she will also star in the upcoming action-drama called ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam‘ along with Paulo Avelino, Zanjoe Marudo, and Arci Muñoz. The drama series will premiere on September 28 on the cable and digital channels of ABS-CBN via Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live.

Angelica was a part of the now-defunct show Banana Sundae. The show ran for about 12 years but was canceled due to the shutdown of ABS-CBN.

Recently, it was reported that Banana Sundae will premiere on the Kapatid network with a new title which is ‘Sunday Kada Kada Sunday‘. It was rumored that almost the entire cast of Banana Sundae will move to the new gag show on TV5 including JC De Vera, Ritz Azul, Wacky Kiray, Jhen Maloles, Sunshine Garcia, Aiko Climaco, and Badji Mortiz.

But Angelica Panganiban, one of the original cast members of the now-defunct show, didn’t accept the offer and will remain with the ABS-CBN network.
