Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin once again snagged the YouGov top spot of being the Most Admired Woman in the Philippines for 2020.
In her Instagram story, Locsin shared the news with her followers with a screengrab of the list. She received a 15.03% admiration score this 2020, which is higher than her score last year with 11.14% in 2019.
YouGov gathered nominations from 45,000 respondents across 42 countries and territories, with the question: “Thinking about people alive in the world today, which [man or woman] do you most admire?” Additionally, YouGov also asked the respondents “who do you truly admire?”, where respondents could make multiple selections, and “who do you MOST admire?”, where they could only pick one.
Most respondents from the Philippines nominated Angel Locsin to take the top spot as the Most Admired Woman of 2020 in the country. Alongside her are trailblazing women like Catriona Gray (11.09%), Sarah Geronimo (7.48%), Taylor Swift (7.36%), Angelina Jolie (6.93%), and Liza Soberano (6.67%).
Locsin has been at the forefront of providing relief and assistance to local communities like in Mauban, Quezon. She has also helped indigenous communities in the country, such as Dumagats. She also made bicycle donations alongside host Gretchen Ho to displaced stuntmen during the pandemic.
Locsin has also been active in supporting ABS-CBN during its franchise renewal. Locsin has been notably the loudest voice amongst the artists of the network. She also led the rally against ABS-CBN’s closure.
