Kapamilya comedians will now dominate and bring laughter to TV5 Network’s entertainment lineup.
TV5 has finally announced that new programs from ABS-CBN will be transferred to TV5, with this Kapamilya comedians from Banana Sundae and the sitcom Home Sweetie Home will be transferring to TV5.
Banana Sundae director Edgar “Bobot” Mortiz will still be directing the gag show and among those returning from Banana Sundae are JC de Vera, Ritz Azul, Wacky Kiray, Jhen Maloles, Sunshine Garcia, Aiko Climaco, and Badji Mortiz.
Although they will no longer be with Angelica Panganiban, they will be joined by other Star Magic artists Miles Ocampo, Jerome Ponce, Igi Boy Flores, and Jayson Gainza.
Before coming to the Kapamilya network, JC and Ritz were both artists from the Kapatid network. They both maintained excellent relationships with the network, which is why they are both welcome to return to TV5.
Also, a Sunday noontime show will also be hosted by Kapamilya Talents, Sunday Noontime Variety Show will be hosted by Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray on TV5.
The said show will be directed by Johnny Manahan and will be produced by Brightlight Productions. Apart from the tandem of Piolo and Catriona, Albee Benitez of Brightlight Productions recently revealed to advertisers the roster of programs that will be broadcasted on TV5.
Another comedy noontime show Laugh Out Loud will be directed by Star Magic’s Johnny Manahan featuring Billy Crawford, Alex Gonzaga, K Brosas, and Wacky Kiray.
With the new shows that will be dominating TV5 Network, it’s sole aim is to re-wake the viewing habits of Filipino TV which might have waned in the last few months because of the pandemic.
